Bible Scriptures:
Ephesians 4:29 - Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Luke 6:31 - 36 - Do to others as you would have them do to you. 32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Psalm 34:13 -keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
James 4:11 - Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.
Proverbs 26:20 - Without wood a fire goes out, without a gossip a quarrel dies down.21 As charcoal to embers and as wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome person for kindling strife.22 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to the inmost parts.
Psalm 101:5 - Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not tolerate.
